The working principle of the intermediate frequency fast melting furnace:

Using a three-phase bridge-type fully-controlled rectifier circuit to rectify AC power into DC power, after being smoothed by a reactor, it becomes a constant DC current source, and then through a single-phase inverter bridge, the DC current is inverted to a certain frequency ( Generally 1000 to 8000 Hz) single-phase intermediate frequency current. The load is composed of an induction coil and a compensation capacitor, connected to a parallel resonance circuit.

Under normal circumstances, the failure of the intermediate frequency power supply can be divided into two categories: completely unable to start and unable to work normally after starting. As a general principle, when a fault occurs, the entire system should be inspected completely under the condition of power failure, which includes the following aspects:

(1) Power supply: Use a multimeter to check whether there is electricity behind the main circuit switch (contactor) and control fuse, which will rule out the possibility of disconnection of these components.

(2) Rectifier: The rectifier uses a three-phase fully-controlled bridge rectifier circuit, which includes six fast fuses, six thyristors, six pulse transformers and a freewheeling diode. There is a red indicator on the quick-acting fuse. Normally, the indicator is retracted inside the shell. When the quick-acting blows, it will pop up. Some quick-acting indicators are tight. When the quick-acting blows, it will get stuck inside. , So for the sake of reliability, you can use a multimeter to test the fast-blow on/off gear to determine whether it is blown.

Energy-saving advantages of intermediate frequency fast melting furnace:
1. Fast heating speed, less oxidation and decarburization

Since the principle of induction heating of the intermediate frequency furnace is electromagnetic induction, the heat is generated by the workpiece itself. This heating method has a fast heating speed, minimal oxidation, high heating efficiency, good process repeatability, and only a slight discoloration on the metal surface. Polishing can restore the surface to mirror brightness, thereby effectively obtaining constant and consistent material properties.

2. High degree of automation, fully automatic unmanned operation can be realized, and labor productivity can be improved.

3, uniform heating, high temperature control accuracy

The heating is uniform to ensure that the temperature difference between the core and the surface of the heated workpiece is small. The temperature can be accurately controlled through the temperature control system to ensure product repeatability

4. Easy to replace the induction furnace body

According to the size of the processed workpiece, different specifications of induction furnace bodies are required. Each furnace body is designed with a water and electricity quick-change connector, which makes the replacement of the furnace body simple, fast and convenient.

5. Complete equipment protection

The whole machine is equipped with water temperature, water pressure, lack of phase, overpressure, overcurrent, pressure/current limiting, start overcurrent, constant current and buffer start, so that the equipment starts smoothly, the protection is reliable and rapid, and the operation is stable.
